Mechanical Systems Specialist at AirTrunk

AirTrunk is seeking a Mechanical Systems Specialist to be based in their Tokyo HQ. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and resilience of AirTrunk's critical mechanical infrastructure. The specialist will serve as the 'go-to' person for all mechanical-based problems, gaining an in-depth understanding of all critical mechanical infrastructure. They will work with Controls and Electrical Specialists to drive down maintenance and operation costs, review new designs, commissioning documentation, and represent operations in various commissioning activities.

• Becoming the ‘go-to’ person for all mechanical-based problems
• Working with Controls and Electrical Specialists
• Reviewing new designs
• Representing operations in commissioning activities
• Assisting in resolving post-incident issues

Requirements include:

• Extensive experience in data centre critical infrastructure
• Mechanical (HVAC) trade or engineering background
• Controls experience (highly regarded)
• Excellent technical knowledge of chiller plant and chilled water systems
• Airflow management experience with CFD modelling
• Fluent in Japanese and English
• Ability to travel domestically
