DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Merge is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the foundations engineering team. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping data and services strategies related to infrastructure and AWS, contributing significantly to Merge's re-architecture strategy as the company expands.Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design highly performant architectures, ensuring reliability and scalability to accommodate large customers.
• Participate in roadmapping, architecture design, and planning discussions to align infrastructure with business goals.
• Develop high-quality, production-ready, and maintainable infrastructure and code.
• Lead large projects from inception to production, ensuring successful deployment and operation.
• Support and unblock team members.
• Participate in on-call rotation and system maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of full-time DevOps experience.
• Deep experience with Terraform, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in planning and deploying highly scalable systems.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Python, Prometheus, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS Aurora, Redshift, Kinesis, EC2, EKS, and ECS.
