Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner. The role involves managing the material schedule, forecasting material availability and spend, creating 'what-if' scenarios, managing inventory, identifying risks, and leading cross-functional clear-to-build activities. The Supply Chain Planner will also continuously improve internal processes and systems.
- Manages reviewing, and maintaining the Material schedule per the business plan
- Forecasts and report current and projected material availability (Raw, WIP, Finished goods).
- Forecasts and report on current and projected spend and PPV
- Creates and analyze “what-if” scenarios to support strategic business planning
- Manages inventory levels to avoid production disruption
- Identifies risk and escalate to management ahead of the issues
- Manages demand and E&O when there is a supply, design, or BOM change
- Leads cross functional clear to build
- Ensures demand, supply, and inventory support the business plan
- Identifies risk and opportunities
- Works closely with respective departments to continuously improve internal processes and systems to enhance organizational value and efficiency
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or Operations and 6+ years of experience managing MRP schedules in ERP/MES environments. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. The individual should be results-oriented, possess strong analytical, computer, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be a team player.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or Operations.
- 6+ years of related experience, managing MRP schedules in ERP/MES driven environments.
- Experience in Automotive / high volume industry is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment.
- Familiar with ERP, MRP, MES systems management, capacity planning, supply chain network optimization.
- Results oriented and metrics driven leader, with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Archer offers a competitive compensation package. Target base pay for this position is between $124,000 and $155,000, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
