Broadvoice is seeking a Core Network Operations Engineer to join their Site Reliability Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining VoIP systems to ensure high system reliability and scalability. This is a remote position based in Portugal.Responsibilities:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to voice quality and connectivity.
- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and support teams.
- Contribute to the successful rollout of milestone releases.
- Improve system scalability, service reliability, capacity, and overall platform performance.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for incident escalation.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and prepare Root Cause Analysis documentation.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting UCaaS/CCaaS systems.
- In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP).
- Hands-on experience with signaling analysis tools such as Wireshark, sngrep, or Homer.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively.
