Impact.com is seeking an Associate MySQL Database Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies, manage large datasets, and contribute to the scaling of systems. The role offers opportunities for experimentation and career development.Responsibilities include:
  • Administering and supporting multiple MySQL database clusters in a sharded environment.
  • Managing database capacity and usage, including proactive capacity planning.
  • Optimizing queries and monitoring database performance.
  • Developing backup and recovery procedures.
  • Database administration tasks such as installing, configuring, upgrading, backing up, partitioning, and monitoring MySQL, MongoDB, and Clickhouse database clusters.
  • Collaborating with developers during the application development lifecycle in designing and planning schema, tables, data types, indexes, procedures, and functions.
  • Proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and database risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Associate MySQL Database Administrator.
  • Experience with MySQL / Percona Server 5.1, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 8.0 / CloudSQL / AWS RDS.
  • Experience with ProxySQL 2.x / Orchestrator, Percona XtraBackup.
  • 2+ years of experience in writing Linux shell scripts, perl scripts, Python etc.
  • Experience with High Availability MySQL/Percona environments.
  • Experience working with Large Data Volumes - 100’s of Terabytes to Petabytes.
  • Strong understanding of InnoDB and InnoDB tuning.
