impact.com is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and design of AI-focused regulated compliance tools, integrating them with existing compliance systems. The role involves delivering software solutions through planning, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying code within a distributed team.

The Senior Software Engineer will be self-sufficient, capable of defining appropriate cloud services, determining the optimal approach for utilizing GenAI and associated tools, implementing new libraries, and independently resolving issues. They should have a strong understanding of ancillary services and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a distributed team to achieve departmental quarterly objectives.
  • Develop code both independently and via pair programming.
  • Create and maintain design, user, and test documentation.
  • Become proficient in the technologies used by the squad.
  • Perform triage functionality by verifying and fixing bugs.
  • Build customer-facing and non-customer-facing code.
  • Support software testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Create SQL for Tech Updates and ensure readiness for review.
  • Stay updated with trends and advancements in the field, integrating improvements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Completed B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with Java 8+, SQL, Unix shell commands, version control, JDBC, OR Tools (Hibernate, JPA), Spring Boot, Spring AI, HTTP/Rest protocols, build tools (Gradle/Maven), CI (Jenkins/Bamboo/etc), JVM & Garbage collection, Cloud Computing, Load balancing.
  • Experience with Large Scale processing.
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases, Table design, SQL, Vector Stores.
  • TDD experience.
  • Experience Mentoring / Training teams
