Software Quality Engineer (Java using Selenium) at Impact.com

impact.com is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure high-quality software delivery by automating regression testing and upholding quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with software Development Engineers and Product Managers to understand requirements and develop test plans and test cases.

The successful candidate will scrutinize new features with high attention to detail and document the methodology used in a detailed test plan containing the test cases specific to the feature. Upon successful deployment of the feature, the scenarios detailed in the test plan are then to be automated using Java and Selenium webdriver. The person filling this role will also be mandated with conducting the regression testing phase of the deployment workflow process and reporting on results timeously.

Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing
• Creating, configuring, and maintaining automated regression tests
• Test Planning & Analysis of Requirements
• Reviewing product design documentation
• Executing test plans and creating test reports
• Defect Management

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
• Creative thinking skills and detail-oriented personality
• Excellent communication skills
• At least 3 years experience in SDLC
• Bachelor's Degree/BTEC or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in developing RESTful APIs
• At least 3 years of test automation experience with Selenium, Jasmine, POM, Cucumber
• Certified in Java, Spring or AWS technologies (Pref)
