Collections Specialist at Zip Co Limited

Zip is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their team in Sydney. This role involves building trust and negotiating repayments with customers facing financial difficulties. The Collections Specialist will work within a team environment, managing their own workload and multiple cases, with the opportunity to work 2-3 days a week in Zip's brand new office located in Circular Quay.

The Collections team at Zip is responsible for fostering relationships with customers, providing support throughout the repayment process. This role requires empathy, strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The Collections Specialist will develop their client relationship management skills.

Role Involves:

• Securing payment from customers whilst maintaining strong relationships.
• Providing support to financial distress customers.
• Performing administrative duties related to ensuring collections efficiency.
• Interacting with customers daily, over the phone and by email.
• Handling inbound customer queries related to payments.
• Managing Vulnerable Customer cases.
• Processing ad-hoc payments.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience within a collections role or transferable skills from a customer facing role.
• Understanding of the debt collection processes.
• Sound knowledge of collection techniques and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements including ACCC debt guidelines and NCCPA
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Sound problem solving capabilities
• Strong organisation and time management skills
