Zip is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their Accounts Engineering team in Sydney. The role involves owning mission-critical work and contributing to strategic redesign efforts on legacy database schemas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining various databases and platform integrations related to customer transactions, from onboarding to repayments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining databases and platform integrations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with a scripting or programming language (e.g., Spark/Scala, Java, or Python).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working within a risk environment.
  • Ability to work fluidly and take on new challenges.
  • Aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
