Security Engineer, Pre-Sales (N. Carolina)

Job Description

Vectra AI, a leader in AI-driven threat detection and response, is seeking a Security Engineer (Pre-Sales) to join their team. This role involves collaborating with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to understand customer challenges and demonstrate the value of Vectra's solutions. The Security Engineer will leverage their deep security expertise to position Vectra’s Cognito platform and resolve potential roadblocks.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with RSMs to understand customer challenges and showcase Vectra's Cognito platform.
• Serve as the domain expert on Vectra products, delivering demos and explaining features.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment for optimal customer solutions.
• Stay informed on the security landscape and Vectra's product line.
• Build strong technical relationships with customers and partners.
• Work with other Vectra engineers on high-level projects.
• Stay current on Vectra's competitors and participate in deployment reviews and design meetings.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of security-focused product lines (CASB, EDR, SIEM, forensics).
• Strong knowledge of networking principles (L3-L7 OSI layers).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for security and understanding of attacker progression and incident response.
• Familiarity with cloud security and network architectures.
• Startup DNA and customer-first behavior.
• 5+ years experience in Technical Account Management or Security Engineering.
• Large account management experience.
