Threat Detection Engineering Manager

Job Description

Vectra AI is seeking a Threat Detection Engineering Manager to lead a team of Threat Detection Engineers in Bangalore. This team will collaborate with Data Scientists and Security Researchers to enhance Vectra's AI-driven Attack Signal, focusing on network, cloud, and identity threat surfaces.Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a team of threat detection engineers.
• Collaborate with the site leader to build out Vectra's Bangalore office.
• Work with coverage leads to ensure clarity of focus and goals.
• Ensure quality rules are developed and evaluated rigorously.
• Foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 2+ years of technical management experience.
• Excellent communication and technical skills.
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems, networking, cloud, and SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of attacker techniques and threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with data utilized by detection technology (PCAPs, logs, etc.).
• Expertise in analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Sigma, Suricata, YARA-L, etc.
• Unix/Linux proficiency.
• Scripting, software development, or DevOps experience.
