Ebury, a leading global fintech company, is seeking a Data Manager to lead the Regulatory Reporting function within their data team in Madrid. This role involves managing a team of Data Analysts and translating regulatory requirements into automated reporting processes. The Data Manager will collaborate closely with the Compliance team and senior stakeholders, bridging the gap between Compliance and Data Engineering to ensure robust and timely regulatory reporting.

The role involves:

  • Leading the Regulatory Reporting function within the data team.
  • Providing data analysts with clear guidance on their daily tasks.
  • Translating Regulatory requirements into clear reporting specifications.
  • Managing downstream related processes ensuring timely reporting to regulators.
  • Working closely with the Data Engineering Manager and with Analytics Engineer Manager to ensure the Reporting solutions are automated and robust processes and controls are in place.
  • Providing clear roadmaps and timelines for the regulatory reporting function to senior management
  • Building specification documentation, process design and implementation
  • Present gap analysis in our systems and data platform of the required information
  • Review of existing processes and procedural enhancements

Requirements include:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Regulatory Analyst, Product Owner or Data Analyst and 2+ years of experience managing teams
  • Proven Experience working with Regulatory Reporting teams or Compliance functions
  • Experience in leading and empowering teams to manage their workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders across senior levels
  • Superb communication skills, both with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
  • Financial Services Experience is desirable but not mandatory
