Kroll Bond Rating Agency UK Limited (KBRA Europe) is seeking a Senior Analyst for its Funds Ratings team in London. The role involves assigning and monitoring credit ratings on debt instruments issued by funds, closed-end funds, and other fund vehicles. KBRA's portfolio includes funds leveraging fixed income, private equity, private credit, real estate, and middle market lending strategies.
The Senior Analyst will contribute to credit research, development of analytical tools, and preparation of credit memos. He or she will participate in meetings with fund management teams and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases. The role requires collaboration with KBRA experts in other sectors and research for internal and publication purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with credit research on funds and investment vehicles.
- Develop rating and analytical tools, including cash flow and asset coverage models.
- Prepare internal credit memos and publications.
- Participate in diligence meetings with fund management teams.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
- Collaborate with KBRA experts in other sectors.
- Assist in research for internal and external publications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Math, or related field.
- Two (2) or more years of work experience as a credit analyst with experience in fund lending, investing, or structured finance is a significant plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong time management and resource management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and cash flow modeling.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SQL and VBA is an advantage.
- Progress towards CFA is ideal.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools is a plus.
