Job Description

A Lead Animator (Crowds) is needed to join the team. This role involves collaborating with various supervisors to maintain the artistic and technical quality of crowd animation throughout the production. The Lead Animator (Crowds) will oversee pipeline workflows and shot production. The Lead Animator is responsible for driving pipeline development and contributing to studio-wide initiatives.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for someone with both creative and leadership skills to manage a team of Animators, handle workflow processes, and resolve technical issues.

Role involves:

  • Overseeing shot production and pipeline workflows.
  • Troubleshooting creative and technical issues.
  • Facilitating communication across departments.
  • Approving department deliverables and ensuring quality standards.
  • Mentoring and supporting the growth of Crowd Animators.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in feature film animation or related production environments.
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and managing teams of artists.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Maya.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
