Job Description

Sony Imageworks Québec is seeking a Compositor to join their team in Montreal. This role involves combining layers of pre-existing materials to create final images that align with the artistic direction. The Compositor will integrate foreground, mid-ground, and background scenes to extend sets, scenes, environments, or effects, and incorporate digital characters or objects into scenes. The ideal candidate will create seamless transitions between filmed sequences and composed content and will be responsible for meeting efficiency and quota targets.

Role Involves:

• Combining layers of rendered animation, special effects, graphics, live action, and static background plates.
• Integrating foreground, mid-ground, and background scenes.
• Creating seamless transitions between filmed sequences and composed content.
• Meeting efficiency and quota targets.

Requirements:

• Ability to composite various types of shots, from simple to moderately difficult.
• In-depth knowledge of software packages, particularly Nuke.
• A 2-year diploma or a 1-year certificate is most desirable, but 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• Must be able to provide a demo reel showcasing relevant artistic and technical experience.
