Experienced Compositor

Job Description

Les Films Sony Imageworks is seeking an Experienced Compositor to join their team in Montreal. The Compositor will be responsible for combining layers of previously created materials, such as rendered animation, special effects, graphics, live action, and static background plates, to create final images that meet the art direction. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate foreground, mid-ground, and background scenes to extend a set, scene, environment, or effect and incorporate characters or digital objects into scenes. They should also be able to create seamless transitions from filmed footage into composited content and meet efficiency and quota targets.Responsibilities:

• Combines layers of previously created materials
• Integrates foreground, mid-ground and background scenes
• Creates seamless transition from filmed footage into composited content
• Meets efficiency and quota targets

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of software including Nuke
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressively complex experience in production or feature film preferred
• Ability to composite multiple types of shots from simple to moderately difficult
• Must be able to provide a demo reel
