Job Description
Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking an Experienced Lighter to join their team in Vancouver. The Lighter will design and implement lighting for characters and environments, ensuring shots fit the sequence's continuity. They will develop solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction and be accountable for meeting productivity targets. The Lighter will also interact with supervisors and peers to exchange relevant information.Role involves:- Designing and implementing lighting of characters and environments
- Ensuring continuity of shots within a sequence
- Developing solutions and techniques to meet art/technical direction
- Meeting productivity and quota targets
- Interacting with supervisors and peers
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX
- Scripting ability in relevant languages
- Knowledge of Arnold shading, volume rendering and raytracing
- Knowledge of compositing software including Nuke
- 3+ years production experience or feature film experience
- Demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience
