Job Description
Les Films Sony Imageworks Montreal is seeking an Experienced Lighter to design and implement lighting for characters and environments. The Lighter will ensure shots fit the sequence's continuity and develop solutions that meet art/technical direction. The role involves interacting with supervisors and peers to exchange relevant information and being accountable for meeting efficiency and quota targets.Responsibilities include:- Designing and implementing lighting of characters and environments.
- Ensuring continuity of shots within a sequence.
- Developing solutions and techniques to meet art/technical direction.
- Interacting with supervisors and peers.
- Meeting efficiency and quota targets.
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX.
- Scripting ability in MEL, Perl, and Python.
- Knowledge of Renderman shading, volume rendering, and raytracing.
- Knowledge of compositing software like Nuke.
- 3+ years of production or feature film experience.
- Demo reel showcasing relevant artistic and technical experience.
