Job Description
Sony Pictures Imageworks Vancouver is looking for a Lighter to design and implement lighting of characters and environments for assigned shots. The Lighter will ensure that assigned shots fit the continuity of the sequence and develop solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction. The Lighter will be accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets and interact with supervisors/peers to exchange information relevant to the show or sequences.Role involves:- Designing and implementing lighting of characters and environments
- Ensuring continuity of shots within a sequence
- Developing solutions and techniques to meet art/technical direction
- Meeting productivity and quota targets
- Interacting with supervisors and peers
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX
- Scripting ability in relevant languages
- Compositing experience required
- Knowledge of Arnold shading, volume rendering and raytracing experience preferred
- Knowledge of relevant compositing software including Nuke is preferred
- 2 year diploma or 1 year certificate or 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience
