Job Description
Les Films Sony Imageworks Montreal is looking for a Lighter to design and implement lighting for characters and environments. The Lighter will ensure shots fit the sequence continuity and develop solutions that meet art/technical direction. They will be accountable for meeting efficiency and quota targets and interact with supervisors/peers.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing lighting of characters and environments.
- Ensuring continuity of assigned shots within the sequence.
- Developing solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction.
- Meeting efficiency and quota targets.
- Interacting with supervisors/peers to exchange information.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX.
- Scripting ability in MEL, Perl, and Python.
- Knowledge of Renderman shading, volume rendering, and raytracing.
- Knowledge of compositing software including Nuke.
- 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience.
