Job Description
Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking an Experienced Matte Painter to join their team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will create digital matte paintings using various elements under the guidance of the Environment Supervisor or Matte Painting Lead. Sony Pictures Imageworks is located on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.Role involves:
  • Creating digital matte paintings using live action elements, still photography, concept art, rendered CG elements, and digital painted elements.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
  • Experience of 3+ years in VFX or feature films is preferred.
  • Knowledge of other tools such as Katana, Mari, Houdini, Speedtree or Linux is a plus.
  • Must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates relevant artistic and technical experience.
