Experienced Modeler

Job Description

Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking an Experienced Modeler to join their team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Modeler will be responsible for creating and building computer-generated 3D models for assigned story elements and designs. They will prepare and build models for characters and stand-ins for layout, develop prop elements for effects, and create environmental sets and structures. The Modeler may also focus on developing technical drawings for model productions and will be accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets.Role involves:

• Creating and building 3D models
• Preparing models for characters and stand-ins
• Developing prop elements for effects
• Creating environmental sets and structures
• Developing technical drawings for model productions

Requirements:

• Knowledge of software packages including Maya, Mudbox/Z brush, 3d Coat/topogun/paraform
• Linux and scripting ability in relevant languages including MEL, Perl and Python a plus
• Minimum 3+ years production experience or feature film experience preferred
• Demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience
