The People & Places Specialist/Safety Officer role at the company oversees HR activities and ensures a safe work environment. This role involves safety orientations, implementing safety training, and managing onboarding. The person will be responsible for compliance with government regulations and participation in health and safety committees.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company processes and guidelines.
  • Maintain positive company relations.
  • Evaluate and implement HR activities, including employee engagement, compensation, and performance.
  • Respond to employee concerns and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct safety orientations and training programs.
  • Implement and promote occupational safety and health programs.
  • Investigate accidents and maintain an accident record system.
  • Ensure compliance with government reports.
  • Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrections.

Requirements:

  • Based in Cebu area.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a combined HR and safety role.
  • Strong understanding of local employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
