DevRev is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its pre-sales team in Japan. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for clients. They will collaborate with Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. The Solutions Engineer will provide technical expertise, conduct product demonstrations, and support the development of technical proposals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert technical support to the sales team.
  • Conducting live product demonstrations.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their technical requirements.
  • Assisting in the creation of technical proposals and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Analyzing competitor products and providing insights.
  • Training sales teams on the technical aspects of products and solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Customizing solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Ensuring a seamless transition of new customers.
  • Working closely with internal teams to improve sales engineering processes.

Requirements include:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts in Japanese clearly.
  • Business-level Japanese Communication.
  • Proven experience in conducting product demonstrations and developing technical proposals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in competitive analysis and market research.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
