Senior UI Engineer

Job Description

ClickUp, a fast-growing SaaS company, is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to define the overall vision for the UI of its application and enforce standards around UI & Design development. The ideal candidate will solve complex issues for large-scale product development while ensuring high quality, optimal performance, and adaptive design.

The Senior UI Engineer will work closely with product, design, backend, and quality assurance teams to deliver a world-class software platform. This role requires expertise in UI architecture and design, along with a strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms. ClickUp needs someone who understands challenges of rapid growth startups.

The Role Involves:

• Envisioning, developing, and enforcing the global UI architecture and design systems.
• Contributing clean code that follows strict design rules and modern patterns.
• Providing technical expertise to other engineering teams.
• Participating in UI & Design architecture councils.
• Evaluating complex business requirements and translating them into actionable software items.

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years of experience on large-scale JS/TS/CSS/SASS/HTML style products.
• 4+ years of experience with large design systems and tokens using Figma.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular/React, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms.
• Excellent presentation and story-telling skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
