Job Description
Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience team. This role focuses on creating internal tools to enhance developer productivity. The engineer will collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop high-impact products and support HRT's initiatives.Responsibilities involve:
  • Developing software using Python or C++ to improve existing systems.
  • Deploying and maintaining applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Building Python or C++ tooling and environments for developers.
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep Python OR C++ experience.
  • Exceptional design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of UNIX operating systems (Linux), system/processor performance, and network communication.
  • Ability to describe software designs at high and low levels.
  • Experience with design and implementation of distributed systems is preferred.
