Job Description
Hudson River Trading is seeking an Electronic Trading Support Engineer to join their Trade Operations team. This role involves managing HRT’s live trading environment, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the firm’s trading platform, and handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth trading operations during US market hours, handling order flow, responding to market alerts, and interfacing with exchanges.Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting live trading during US market hours
  • Handling order flow from HRT’s trading desks
  • Responding to external market alerts and outages
  • Interfacing with exchanges & other external parties to support trading
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Engineering, Physics, Math, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of UNIX systems
  • Experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Incredibly organized, with a high attention to detail
  • Understanding of Market Data/Order Entry systems
