TradeOps Analyst

Job Description

Hudson River Trading is seeking a Trade Operations Analyst to join their TradeOps team. This role is based in Singapore and involves managing HRT’s live trading environment, a sophisticated electronic trading platform. The TradeOps team is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the firm’s trading, as well as handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform. They will possess a strong understanding of market and broker relationships, technology requirements, and regulatory commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Handling order flow from HRT’s trading desks
• Responding to external market alerts and outages
• Interfacing with exchanges and other external parties to support trading

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, engineering, physics, math, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience at a financial institution and/or trading firm
• Experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash)
• Strong working knowledge of Linux systems
• Strong understanding of on-exchange products and experience with equity or derivatives trading and market structure
• Working knowledge of FIX, OUCH, & other market-specific protocols
• Extensive experience supporting electronic trading systems
• Ability to identify areas for platform improvement in a complex technical environment
• Excellent communication & prioritization skills
