Director of Infrastructure

Job Description

Elastic is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and SRE to lead the infrastructure strategy and ensure the company's cloud-based services are robust, scalable, and efficient. The Director will lead a team of infrastructure engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the adoption of best practices. They will support business goals and enable the company's growth.Role involves:

• Developing and executing an infrastructure strategy.
• Leading and mentoring a team of infrastructure engineers.
• Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams.
• Ensuring infrastructure adheres to security standards and compliance requirements.
• Monitoring and analyzing infrastructure performance.
• Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Managing relationships with cloud service providers and vendors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior infrastructure role, preferably within a Cloud SaaS environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, architecture, security, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
