Sales Development Rep

This Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Elastic is based in Sydney, Australia. The role is critical to the success of Elastic's sales organization in Australia and New Zealand. This person will proactively identify, nurture, and create new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound initiatives. Elastic emphasizes quality interactions with users, promoting disciplined and programmatic engagement with prospects. The goal is to equip the SDR for success and offer opportunities for career advancement within Elastic.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and the partner team to develop new strategies to build Elastic's sales pipeline and grow its business.
• Balance reactive work of responding to interested users with a creative and proactive approach to identify new opportunities.
• Use Salesforce, Marketo, LinkedIn, and other prospecting tools to research accounts, identify key contacts, and craft targeted messaging.
• Learn Elastic's technology and optimally communicate the value proposition with a technical audience.
• Work to understand user goals and challenges to better understand how Elastic can help.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in managing sales (similar profile of SDR/BDR/ Inside sales/ Sales).
• Open to feedback, genuinely curious, and constantly looking for ways to learn and improve.
• Genuine love of technology, with the ability to learn and communicate complex technical concepts.
• Comfortable with Tele coverage.
• Have an understanding of OUTREACH (or similar platform) to build engagement sequences with prospects.
• Experience in Inbound and Outbound customer engagements.
• Hitting monthly targets by being results oriented and focused on achieving, through self-discipline, creativity, and passion.
