Job Description
Canonical is seeking a Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions to drive partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions. Canonical supports ISV customers and alliances, helping them deliver fast, reliable, secure, compliant, and consistent solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to prospect into ISV accounts, introduce Canonical's offerings, and assist partners in developing products that leverage Canonical's portfolio.
The role is home-based within the Americas region. The Sales Director will play a crucial role in expanding Canonical's presence within the ISV market.
Responsibilities:
- Drive embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs to exceed targets.
- Lead customer and partner relationships through all stages of the lifecycle.
- Deepen engagement with the open source ecosystem.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with product management for platform enhancement.
- Negotiate contracts with ISV partners and customers.
- Shape content and messaging for ISV partners and customers.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or compelling alternative narrative.
- Ability to establish strategic relationships with large organizations.
- Passion for technology and experience with software, SaaS, Linux, open source, cloud, and container service offerings.
- Experience with lead generation and business development in the software sector.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Drive to meet commitments and deliver beyond expectations.
- Commitment to leadership, skills development, and mentorship.

- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
