Dell Global Alliance Director

Job Description

Canonical, a leading open-source software provider, is seeking a Global Alliances Director to lead the Dell Technologies alliance team. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives at Dell, fostering collaboration on joint business objectives. The Director will manage a global team of Business Development Managers, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. • Build and own the global alliance strategy with Dell.
• Expand strategic relationships and enable Dell teams.
• Grow business motions across sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with models.
• Increase Dell’s awareness of open-source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
• Manage, develop, and grow a team of Business Development Managers.
• Demonstrate understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
• Deliver on targets and objectives.
• Travel internationally to drive partnerships.
• Align and support internal Canonical field teams.
• Expand the existing footprint with Dell customers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Alliance Manager/Director.
• Solid experience in Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
• Autonomous, disciplined, and hands-on approach.
• Passionate about Canonical products and mission.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments.
• Team player with superior accountability.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams.
