Job Description
The Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions role at Canonical involves driving partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions. The role requires collaboration with various teams to prospect into ISV accounts and help partners leverage Canonical's portfolio. The successful candidate will drive sales, lead customer relationships, deepen engagement with the open-source ecosystem, identify and develop partnerships, and negotiate contracts.
Role Involves:
- Driving embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs.
- Leading customer and partner relationships through all stages.
- Deepening understanding of the open-source ecosystem.
- Identifying and developing strategic partnerships.
- Collaborating with product management.
- Negotiating contracts with ISV partners.
- Shaping content and messaging for ISV partners.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or compelling narrative.
- Ability to establish strategic relationships with large organizations.
- Passion for technology and extensive experience with the software and SaaS industry.
- Experience with lead generation and business development in the software sector.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- Outstanding business English writing and presentation skills.
- Commitment to leadership, skills development, and mentorship.

- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
