Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Partner Sales Manager to foster the relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in India. This role involves expanding Canonical's market share, promoting the partnership, and facilitating business interactions across various roles within HPE, from engineers to executives. The Partner Sales Manager will conduct customer workshops, attend sales events, deliver presentations, and participate in executive engagements.

The role is home-based in India and requires regular travel, including international trips, to strengthen partnerships. The Partner Sales Manager will align with internal Canonical field teams to identify, support, and grow opportunities, while also contributing to broader strategies and initiatives.

Role Involves:

  • Building strategic relationships with HPE teams
  • Growing HPE’s awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu
  • Building pipeline and transact opportunities through HPE
  • Delivering on targets and objectives
  • Traveling regularly to drive partnerships in person
  • Supporting internal Canonical field teams
  • Expanding existing footprint with HPE customers
  • Supporting and contributing to broader strategy

Requirements:

  • Experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles
  • Sales acumen and pipeline management skills
  • Autonomous and hands-on approach
  • Ability to capture customer requirements and create opportunities
  • Passion for Ubuntu products and mission
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Team player with customer support skills
  • Knowledge of HPE products and go-to-market motion
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year
  • Experience with SalesForce.com and Google Suite (a plus)
