Job Description
Canonical is seeking a Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager to champion open-source software and operating systems, particularly Ubuntu, across enterprise initiatives. This role involves collaborating with leading semiconductor companies to optimize new chips, develop joint product roadmaps, and drive go-to-market plans. The Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager will enable differentiated hardware and robust product life-cycle support anchored to Ubuntu.
The successful candidate will blend hardware and software passion with business development acumen. They will navigate technical challenges, learn quickly, and architect solutions across global teams. The role spans from exploratory partnerships to strategic alliance management, requiring strong communication and influencing skills.
Role Involves:
- Representing Canonical and its solutions to partners.
- Understanding silicon partner strategies and roadmaps.
- Working cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing, and sales.
- Developing joint Go-To-Market strategies and campaigns.
- Negotiating contracts.
Requirements:
- B.A / B.S / B.E degree in science, technology and/or engineering.
- Understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem.
- Experience in software and system architecture (preferred).
- Customer-facing experience in technology strategy or business development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivation for a remote-first environment.
