Job Description
Canonical is seeking a UX Designer to join their Infrastructure and Developer Experience team. This role is pivotal in enhancing developer experience across Canonical's products. The UX Designer will collaborate with engineering teams to transform complex open-source software into intuitive products.
The position reports to the Infrastructure and Developer Experience design managers or Director and is remote-based within the EMEA region.
Role involves:
- Building tools for cloud experiences (MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, Canonical k8s)
- Collaborating with product managers and engineers
- Supporting complex products with design and UX heuristics
- Evolving design systems
- Supporting Canonical design’s horizontal efforts
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic record
- Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, Design, STEM, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of user experience, technology, and design
- Commitment to learning and improvement
- Result-oriented with a drive to finish work
- Confidence in user research practices
- Engagement with design research and innovation
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year
