Job Description
Canonical is seeking a Cloud Professional Services Manager to lead a team of Field Engineers, assisting customers with the implementation of Canonical's open source solutions across public clouds and data centers. This role involves working with a wide range of cloud offerings, including Ubuntu, virtualization, private cloud, Kubernetes, and sophisticated open source solutions like MLops and data platforms. The Cloud Professional Services Manager will be responsible for line management, career guidance, and technical presales support.
Role Involves:
- Leading and developing a team of engineers.
- Coaching, mentoring, and offering career development feedback.
- Implementing disciplined engineering processes.
- Representing the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Planning and managing progress on agreed goals and projects.
- Actively participating in the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies (Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph).
- Practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
- Experience in technical presales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
- Organized and able to ensure the team delivers timely, high-quality results.
- An exceptional academic track record.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
