IoT Solutions Architecture Manager

Job Description

Canonical is seeking an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services. In this role, the manager will help customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery, focusing on enabling secure connected devices using the Ubuntu OS and kernel. This is a remote position with a team that spans multiple timezones. Candidates should have extensive embedded Linux experience and be proficient in coding and scripting. Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Field engineers.
• Solve customer problems and promote Canonical's technologies.
• Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
• Represent the team and product to stakeholders.
• Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
• Collaborate with other leaders as part of the leadership team.

Requirements:

• Exceptional academic track record.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive embedded Linux experience (Yocto or similar).
• Extensive Linux experience (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with customer engagements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
