This role involves bringing together operations management, software engineering, product development, and team leadership. The GitOps Engineering Manager will lead a team in the APAC region, reporting to a global director. The ideal candidate will be a Linux and operations expert with strong management skills.
The role involves:
- Leading the team in daily agile DevOps practices
- Representing the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- Organizing, coordinating, and driving internal projects
- Mentoring engineers to improve their skills
- Identifying and measuring team health indicators
- Implementing structured engineering and operations processes
- Ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Working to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
- Delivering quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner
Requirements:
- Drive and a track record of exceeding expectations
- Proven experience in software delivery using infrastructure as code
- Experience managing DevOps teams for SaaS offerings
- Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
- Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
- Ability to travel twice a year for company events
