Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Systems Integrations Engineering Manager to join their Commercial Systems unit. This role is ideal for a technologist passionate about Linux and Ubuntu, aiming to advance their career within the open-source domain. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team collaborating closely with engineering and business units within Canonical. Services designed and developed by Commercial Systems are integral to Canonical's business, with Salesforce playing a vital role.

The Integrations team focuses on integrating all business systems at Canonical to ensure reliable data flow and automate business processes across the company. The systems include SaaS solutions like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Greenhouse. Technologies used include Python, Go, Airbyte, and Temporal.

What this role involves:

• Leading, mentoring, and hiring a team of software engineers
• Designing and delivering engineering solutions using Go, Python, and open source tools
• Seeking improvements to established processes, designs, and engineering solutions
• Partnering with business customers to understand data and integrations needs

Requirements:

• Experience as a software developer in Python
• Excellent understanding of integration patterns
• Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or a team lead
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to collaborate remotely and remain motivated in a fully remote environment
• Ability to travel internationally approximately 2-4 times per year
