Regional HR Manager APAC at Canonical

Canonical, a leading open source software provider, is seeking a Regional HR Manager to support its APAC region. This role, based in Taipei, will report to the Global Head of HR and help shape the future of the company's HR function during continued growth. The Regional HR Manager will lead the EMEA team of HR professionals, ensuring precise and compliant HR operations, advising on HR matters across the employee lifecycle, and partnering with senior leadership.

The role involves:

• Leading and scaling Canonical’s regional HR team
• Delivering precise and compliant HR operations
• Interacting closely with Talent Science and Workplace Engineering teams
• Being accountable for HR processes such as talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, culture and engagement initiatives
• Coaching and advising people managers on employee relations issues
• Partnering with people managers to support training and development programs
• Driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
• Designing new policies and delivering on business-critical HR related projects globally
• Presenting at Canonical events to articulate Canonical’s HR practices

Requirements include:

• Exceptional academic track record
• HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business
• People management experience
• Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders
• Experience in working in a remote first organization
• Knowledge and practical implementation of HR practices and employment law across EMEA
• Fluent in business English (written and spoken)
• Self motivated, organized, accurate, confident, authentic,  results-orientated, open-minded, enthusiastic and energetic
