Senior Desktop Support Technician (Onsite) at YouGov

YouGov is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician to join their team in Bucharest, Romania. The candidate will work within a small team providing high-level IT support across the EMEA region. The role involves collaborating with IT team members to address complex issues and working closely with other departments to understand their technology needs.

Responsibilities:

• Global Desktop Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and provide out-of-hours support.
• Asset Management: Maintain stock levels, update asset register, and manage asset delivery.
• Hardware and Software Installation and Support: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• New User Onboarding: Help onboard new users and conduct training sessions.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations.
• Remote Support: Provide remote support to global users.
• Meeting Room and Video Conferencing Support: Provide support for meeting rooms and video conferencing systems.
• System Upgrades: Assist in planning and executing system upgrades.
• Security Compliance: Ensure all applicable assets have security applications and features installed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Experience with VDI infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of IT security principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
