IMC is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their Risk Team in Sydney. The Risk Team manages and mitigates risks associated with IMC’s trading strategies. The Risk Analyst will identify and assess risks, determine adequate controls, and develop risk metrics and tools. They will collaborate with Trading and Technology teams to ensure business plans align with risk appetite.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively assist in implementing and improving risk policies, methodologies, and limits.
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of stress tests and scenario analysis.
  • Ensure relevant risk measures, controls, and processes are in place.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc market risk reports and analysis.
  • Support the new product and strategy approval process.
  • Maintain relationships with counterparts at clearing and exchanges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a risk management role.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and knowledge of SQL is essential.
  • Ability to manage projects that span multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform successfully in a fast-paced environment.
