IT Operations Engineer at IMC

IMC is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join their expanding IT Operations & Infrastructure team in Zug, Switzerland. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Zug office, ensuring colleagues can work efficiently and effectively. This is an on-site role with limited flexibility for working from home.

The IT Operations Engineer will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining user devices, systems, and networks. They will provide first, second, and third-level support, troubleshoot issues, deploy updates, and manage facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing full-time on-site 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support to users.
• Supporting physical and virtual desktop environments and infrastructure components.
• Deploying enterprise updates for macOS, Windows, and other desktop applications.
• Installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshooting and documenting computer network issues.
• Managing facilities, including desk and equipment moves and vendor relations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Windows and Mac Operating Systems.
• Basic Linux experience (Fedora/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• A degree (BSc) in an ICT-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Living in the Zug region.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Basic network knowledge/wifi networks are a plus.
• Willingness to get involved in physical tasks.
• Strong drive to learn and develop.
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site.
