Job Description
The role of Constituency Support Manager involves supporting a Labour MP's parliamentary office. The individual will work on resolving constituency matters, engaging with the public, and conducting research to support the MP's work. They will maintain positive relationships with various parties and collaborate with colleagues to disseminate research findings effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with government agencies and the voluntary sector to resolve constituency matters.
- Take initial action on queries from the public, responding on behalf of the MP.
- Develop knowledge in specialist areas.
- Ensure the online presence meets the demands of constituents.
- Manage projects and research local, regional, or national issues.
- Engage with the public professionally and confidentially.
- Maintain positive relationships with members of the public, groups and suppliers.
- Work with colleagues to identify potential impacts from research work.
Requirements:
