IMC is seeking an experienced Gas Trader to join its new power and gas trading business in Århus, Denmark. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a strong, independent team while leveraging IMC's global trading expertise.
The Gas Trader will be responsible for monitoring European gas markets, executing trades, and contributing to the development of trading strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, a proven track record in gas trading, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor one or more European gas markets and relevant supply and demand factors.
- Execute trades based on quantitative signals and discretionary insights.
- Take significant responsibility and ownership early to drive strategies forward and ensure success.
- Train new joiners on the desk.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in trading gas in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
