IMC is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its new power and gas trading business in Århus, Denmark. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a compliant trading environment within the European power and gas markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance, a deep understanding of power and gas trading regulations, and experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

Role involves:

  • Contributing to establishing a new power and gas trading business.
  • Supporting onboarding with clearing banks, exchanges, TSOs, and other external parties.
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and resolving compliance alerts.
  • Preparing and submitting required compliance reports.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background
  • 2+ years of professional experience in compliance at a power and/or gas trading firm in Europe
  • Knowledge of relevant power trading rules and regulations, including REMIT / REMIT II, EMIR, MAR
  • Familiarity with terms and conditions of key European TSOs and rulebooks of key European power trading exchanges is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
