Job Description
Xometry, a company that connects people with manufacturers, is looking for a Collections Manager to join its Finance team. The Collections Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring strong cash flow, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the collections team
- Manage a portfolio of accounts receivable
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers
- Analyze accounts receivable data
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and Legal departments
- Implement and maintain collection policies and procedures
- Generate and analyze detailed AR reports
- Oversee the management of customer credit applications and credit limit assignments
- Manage collection agencies and legal partners
- Lead monthly closing activities related to accounts receivable
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Provide training and guidance to team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of collections experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Proven track record of reducing DSO and improving collection metrics
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and collections laws/regulations
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience managing and developing team members
- Knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers while firmly enforcing payment terms
- Experience with manufacturing or B2B companies preferred
- CCP (Certified Credit Professional) or similar certification is a plus
