Manager, Data Science (Tech Lead) at Xometry

Xometry is seeking a Data Science Technical Lead Manager to join its Data Science team. This role involves driving data science initiatives, providing technical guidance, and using data to solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data scientists.
• Use data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools to drive data-driven business strategies.
• Design and execute data science projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Analyze existing algorithms for accuracy and performance.
• Query and extract data from databases to support analysis and model development.
• Implement robust data science methodologies.
• Continuously iterate and improve solutions within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) is highly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
• Proficient in applied statistics.
• Experience with pricing algorithms and technology-driven product development.
• Knowledge of scientific software principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Must be able to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
