Xometry, a company that connects people with manufacturers, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Data Science team. The role involves driving data science initiatives, providing technical guidance, and leveraging data to solve complex business challenges. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.Responsibilities include:
  • Using data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools to drive data-driven business strategies.
  • Designing and executing data science projects, including hypothesis development and statistical analysis.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions.
  • Analyzing existing algorithms for accuracy and performance and providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Querying and extracting data from databases to support analysis and model development.
  • Implementing robust data science methodologies.
  • Iterating and improving solutions within a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Requirements include:
  • A bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python.
  • Proficiency in applied statistics.
  • Experience with pricing algorithms and technology-driven product development.
  • Knowledge of scientific software principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
